Field Trips Experience:
Minimum of 10, max of 40.
Please provide 1 adults per 10 students.
The bus will arrive and our Golden Spike Tower host will greet the bus and assist with unloading to a designated outdoor area, where we will all gather for a photo and directions. Photos are private, not on social media, but a copy is provided to each child at the end as a reminder of their visit. We will divide the large group into 3 or 4 smaller groups of 8 to 12 kids (please let us know if you have a specific way you prefer them to be broken up into groups otherwise we will use our method). Smaller groups will each have a guide or two to direct them to different station of crafts, education and activities. We will ask that one of your adults remains with a group at all time. Groups will be directed through specific paths via stairs, elevator and outside to our three different public floors, including an outside balcony (safe and with railing) and our enclosed 8th floor: 104 feet in the air. Activities & education are specifically selected for your group to ensure they are age appropriate. Kids will learn how Bailey Yard operates, have train safety training, learn about rail cars, and participate in hands on activities. Restrooms are located on the first floor only. A restroom break and outdoor playtime is provided for the last 10 minutes or so of the tour. If a child does need a restroom break, we would ask your staff (adult helpers) excuse them and take them, so our staff can continue with the lesson.
