Whether it’s a family get-together, a school field trip, a church group or buses full of passengers ready to take in the unique experience that is the Golden Spike Tower, we’re here to make sure that you have a great time.

Our welcome video gives visitors an overview of Union Pacific and Bailey Yard. Our interpretive displays tell the story of the history of Union Pacific, Bailey Yard and North Platte, Nebraska.

Our courtyard proudly flies 23 flags representing each state Union Pacific serves. The  Brick Pavilion features commemorative bricks embossed with the names of railroad employees and individuals from our community, our region and around the world. In memory-In honor-In recognition.

Our gift shop features items for young and old alike…from traditional t-shirts and sweatshirts to train novelty items too numerous to mention.

The Golden Spike Tower is handicap accessible with elevators traveling to the top of the tower.

Whether you’re a railroad buff, a history enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique experience for your family, the Golden Spike Tower and Visitor Center is a must-stop when in the area.

Special group rates are available and we’ll make sure we have everything in place before your arrival. Our tour guides are former Union Pacific Employees, and they’ll be able to tell your group about the intricacies of Bailey Yard from our eight-story tower.  Call today to find out more about the Golden Spike Tower and Visitor Center – 308.532.9920.
